I have tentatively identified this green moss as Sphagnum fimbriatum.It grows in lanky clumps on the very edges of the moss mat, partially submerged in water.This moss prefers shallow water, it is especially good for frog fanciers and their terrariums. Or at the very edges of ponds.Definitely a specialty plant, I have lots of it along the moss mat along my pond edges, and masses of tree frogs living in my pond.It’s a good combination.I will send you a quart ziplock bag of the moss.
